Legal Bases for Data Processing

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), all processing of personal data must be based on a specific legal basis. Depending on the basis used, you are granted different rights.

Regardless of the legal basis, you always have the right to request access to, rectification of, and erasure of your data. For more details on how to exercise these rights, please see the "How to Exercise Your Rights" section in our Privacy Policy.

Our Legal Bases

We process your personal data based on the following legal principles:

  • Performance of a Contract:When you register for our Services, you accept our Terms of Service, entering into a contract with us. To fulfill this contract, we process your data to provide, improve, and personalize the Services, ensure security, perform global data transfers, and communicate with you. If you choose not to provide certain data, the quality of the services may be compromised. In this context, you have the right to data portability.
  • User Consent: We ask for your explicit consent to collect and use optional information, for example through your device settings (access to GPS, camera, or photos). This allows us to offer you advanced features. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time through your device or app settings, and to exercise the right to portability for the data you have provided to us.
  • Legitimate Interests: We rely on our legitimate interests, or those of third parties, only when they are not overridden by your interests or fundamental rights. This includes: providing and improving the Services for underage users (with limited contractual capacity); ensuring the security of our platform and combating harmful conduct; offering measurement and statistics services to businesses; responding to legal requests and law enforcement to prevent fraud or other illegal activities. You have the right to object to this type of processing.
  • Legal Obligation: We process your personal data when we are required to do so to comply with a legal obligation, as in the case of a valid request from a judicial authority.
  • Vital Interests: In exceptional situations, we may process your data to protect your vital interests or those of other people, for example, to protect someone's life or physical integrity, combat harmful behavior, and promote safety.
  • Public Interest: We process data if it is necessary to carry out a task in the public interest, as provided for by the law of the European Union or the Member State to which we are subject, for example for scientific research purposes or to ensure public safety. In this case, too, you have the right to object.
