We also illustrate the steps taken to protect your privacy, such as the fact that Semantica provides you with the ability to manage who you communicate with using our Services.

Information collected
Semantica receives or collects information to make available, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market its Services, as well as when the user installs, accesses, or uses the Services. The type of information we receive and collect depends on how you use our Services.
Data provided voluntarily by the user
We collect the data you provide directly to us when you interact with our Site, for example by filling out the contact form to request information or assistance. This data may include:
- User account information: You provide your mobile number and basic information (including a profile name) to create a Semantica account. You agree to provide us regularly, in accordance with applicable laws, with the phone numbers of contacts in your mobile device's address book, including those of users of our Services and other contacts. You can provide us with an email address. You can also add other information to your account, such as your first and last name.
- User-provided data: Semantica stores the data you provide (e.g. messages, chats, photos, videos, voice messages, files, shared location information) during the normal provision of the Services.
- User connections: To facilitate communications, we can help you identify your contacts who already use Semantica's services.
- Customer support: You agree to provide us with information regarding the use of our Services, including copies of your messages, and how to contact you in order to allow us to provide you with assistance. For example, you can send us an email containing information related to the performance of our app or other issues.
Automatically collected navigation data
During navigation on our Site, the computer systems and software procedures used for its operation acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This is information that is not collected to be associated with identified interested parties, but which by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This data includes:
- Usage and access information: Semantica collects information related to your activity on the Services it offers, such as usage, diagnostics, and performance. This includes information about your activity (including how you use our Services, the settings of the Services, how you interact with others through our Services, as well as the times, frequency, and duration of activities and interactions), log files, and reports related to diagnostics, crashes, website, and performance. It also includes information about when you registered to use our Services, the features you use such as those related to messaging, calls, status or groups, profile picture, info, information about when you are online, when you last used our Services ("last seen") and when you last updated your personal information.
- Device and connection information: Semantica collects specific device and connection information when you install, access, or use our Services. This includes information such as the hardware model, operating system information, battery level information, signal strength, app version, browser and mobile network information, connection information including mobile number, mobile operator or ISP provider, language and time zone, IP, information on device operations and identifiers such as device identifiers (including unique identifiers for Semantica offered products and associated with the same device or account).
- Location information: Where applicable, Semantica collects device location information if you use location-related features, such as when you decide to share your location with your contacts, view nearby locations or those that others have shared with you, and the like, and for diagnostic and troubleshooting purposes, for example in case you experience problems with the app's location features. Semantica uses various technologies to determine the location, including IP, GPS, Bluetooth signals, and information on nearby Wi-Fi access points, beacons, and cell towers.
- Cookies: Semantica uses cookies to make available and provide the Services, as well as to offer them on the web, to improve the user experience, to understand how the Services are used and to personalize them. Semantica may also use cookies to identify the most popular FAQs and show you relevant content related to the Services. In addition, Semantica also uses cookies to remember your choices, such as language preferences, to provide a more secure experience and to customize the Services offered to you. Third-party information
- Information about you provided by other users: Semantica receives information about you from other users and companies. For example, when other users or companies you know use our Services, they may provide your phone number, name or other information (such as that in their device's address book or, in the case of companies, additional information such as unique identifiers), in the same way that you may provide information of other users, or that they send a message to you or to groups you are part of or that they contact you by phone. Such users and companies are required to have the legal rights to collect, use and share your information before providing us with any information.
- Companies on Semantica apps: The companies you interact with through the Semantica apps (hereinafter "Company") provide us with information about such interactions. A Company may also request assistance from another company for the storage, reading and response to messages on behalf of that company and in support of that company. Please note that when companies use third-party services, the terms and privacy policies of the latter govern your use of such services and the use by companies of user information within those services.
- Third-party service providers: We work with third-party service providers to make available, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market the Services. For example, we work with companies to distribute our applications, provide our infrastructure, delivery and other systems, offer information related to location, maps and places, process payments, understand how people use our Services and market our Services, establish connections between users and companies that use our Services, conduct surveys and research for us and help us with customer support. In some cases, these companies may provide us with information about you; for example, app stores may provide us with reports for diagnosing and resolving technical problems.
- Third-party services: Semantica allows the use of the Services in conjunction with third-party services. If you use our Services in conjunction with third-party services, we may receive information about you from those services, for example, if you use the sharing button of the apps provided by Semantica on a news service to share an article with your contacts in our Services or if you access our Services using the promotion of the same by your mobile operator or device provider. Please note that by using third-party services, you accept the terms and privacy policies that govern their use.
How Semantica uses information
Semantica uses the information at its disposal (subject to your choices) to make available, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market its Services. Here's how:
- Semantica Services: Semantica uses the information at its disposal to make available and provide its Services, providing customer support and improving, troubleshooting, and personalizing the Services. Semantica understands how people use its Services and analyzes and uses the information at its disposal to evaluate and improve the Services themselves, to research, develop and test new services and features and to identify and resolve problems. The information is also used to provide a response when you contact Semantica.
- Protection and security: Semantica verifies accounts and activities and promotes protection and security within and outside the Services, for example by analyzing suspicious activities or violations of the Terms, to ensure the lawful use of the Services.

Information shared between Semantica and the user
By using and communicating through our Services, you share your information, which in turn Semantica shares to make available, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market the Services.
- Sending your information to those with whom you communicate: You share your information (including messages) while using our Services to communicate.
- Your contacts and others: The other people and companies with whom you communicate can in turn store or share your information (including phone number or messages) with other people inside and outside the Services. You can use the settings of the Services to manage the users of the Services with whom you communicate and some information you share.
- Third-party service providers: We work with third-party service providers to make available, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market the Services. When we share information with third-party providers in this context, we require them to use your information in accordance with our instructions and the stated conditions.
- Third-party services: When you use third-party services integrated with our Services, these third parties may receive information about what you share with them. For example, if you use a data backup service integrated with our Services (e.g. iCloud or Google Drive), the service in question will receive information you share. This includes the right to object to the processing of your information for direct marketing and the right to object to the processing of your information when we carry out an activity in the public interest or pursue our legitimate interests or those of third parties. You can access the tools to rectify, update and delete your information directly in the app as described in the "Managing and deleting your information" section. If we process your information based on our legitimate interests or those of third parties or for the public interest, you can object to such processing. In this case, we will stop processing your information, unless it is based on valid legitimate grounds or is necessary for legal reasons. You can object to the processing of your information and find more information on the options available to you to limit how we use your data by visiting this page. In the event that we use your information for direct marketing purposes for our Services, you can always object and opt-out of receiving marketing messages via the specific link in such communications.
Managing and deleting your information
We store information until it is no longer necessary to provide our services or until your account is deleted, whichever comes first. This is a case-by-case determination that varies based on things like the nature of the information, the reason it is collected and processed, and relevant legal or operational retention needs.
If you wish to manage, modify, limit, or delete your information, you can do so through the following tools:
- Service Settings. You can change the settings of the Services to manage certain information available to other users. You can manage contacts to manage the users with whom you communicate.
- Deleting your account from a Semantica app. You can delete your app account at any time (including if you wish to revoke your consent to the use of your information by Semantica) using the appropriate function in the app or by uninstalling the app itself. When you delete an account, undelivered data and other information no longer necessary for the operation and provision of the Services will be deleted from our servers. Please note that by deleting our Services from your device without using the 'Delete Account' function in the app or by written request to if the first option is not available, the information may be stored for a longer period. You should also be aware that when you delete your account, the information held by other users will not be affected, nor will the copy of the data in their possession.
Global Operations
Semantica shares information globally, both externally with our partners and with the people you communicate with around the world, in compliance with this Privacy Policy. Information controlled by Semantica may be transferred or transmitted or stored and processed in the United States or in other countries outside of where you reside for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. The transferred data is necessary to provide the Services described in our Terms and to manage and offer our Services globally. Semantica uses standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and may rely on adequacy decisions of the European Commission on certain countries, if applicable, for data transfers from the European Economic Area to the United States of America.
